SRE in 2021
2021 SRE Classes
Special Religious Education (SRE) is offered to all students, Years 7-10. This will be in the form of a 2 Period seminar once a term. Information will be provided when seminars are organised. Students must return a signed permission note to attend any SRE activity. Parents may withdraw their child from SRE at any time by writing to the school. Forster Campus staff do not supervise SRE. Instead they will be running alternative meaningful activities in normal classes for students who do not attend SRE.
SRE Providers
The SRE teachers, are employed by Generate Ministries delivering the curriculum, ‘Think Faith’. Information on the curriculum can be found at https://thinkfaith.com.au.
Please note: The school is not responsible for the SRE curriculum. Any concerns regarding the curriculum should be directed to the Authorised Providers of SRE: contact details listed below.
Generate Ministries is organising SRE on behalf of the approved SRE providers: the Anglican, Baptist, Coast EC, Churches of Christ, Salvation Army, Presbyterian, Seventh Day Adventist and Uniting Churches.

If your preferred SRE or Special Education in Ethics (SEE) option is not available please contact the approved provider.
Special Education in Ethics is not available in high schools at this time.
Alternative Activities During SRE
Students not attending SRE are to engage in alternative meaningful activities during SRE periods.
At Forster Campus, students not attending SRE will attend their regular class. The alternative meaningful activities will be curriculum related, non-assessable tasks in that subject.
