Trials and Carnivals early term 1 

Term 1 is a very busy time of year. Below are some of the early Hunter trials for those wishing to compete, some of which are extremely early. Please note that to attend these trials, ‘Hunter Consent’ forms must be completed and handed in on the day of the trial. Sport organisers must sign these prior to attending. These forms can be obtained from Sport Organisers at your students campus, or you can obtain them online at https://app.education.nsw.gov.au/sport/hunter/Forms

8/2         Hunter Boys & Girls Touch U15s at Nelson Bay 

9/2         Hunter Boys & Girls Volleyball trial at Broadmeadow 

24/2       Hunter Boys U15 Hunter Blue Rugby League Trial at Nelson Bay 

2/3         Hunter Girls Football/soccer Trial at Darling St Oval 

2/3         Hunter Boys Football/Soccer Trial at Speers Point 

2/3         Rugby Union Boys and Girls at Gateshead

GLC Swimming Carnivals will take place as follows: 

• Tuncurry Campus Years 7-8 Swimming Carnival on the 8^th of February at Forster YMCA 
• Forster Campus Years 7-8 Swimming Carnival on the 9^th of February at Forster YMCA 

Please note that all students in years 7 and 8 attend this carnival on their respective dates, and the top swimmers from the College (based on times between the two carnivals) will compete at the Zone Carnival 

• Years 9-12 competitors only will compete on the morning of the 9^th of February. Those students must submit names and events to their Campus Sport Organisers  

Those that qualify will then compete at the Zone Carnival at Manning Aquatic and Leisure centre on the 28^th of February  

College Cross Country will occur on Wednesday the 29^th of March at Tuncurry Campus and the Zone Carnival at Wingham on the 5^th of April. 

We hope to see your child doing their personal best in as many opportunities as possible at GLC.
